Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect what we need to quote the job, do the job and invoice it. We do not sell it, and we do not hand it to anyone you have not asked us to.

AllCleaner is a cleaning and restoration business working in Toronto and the wider GTA. To quote a job and then carry it out, we have to hold some information about you. This page says what we hold, why we hold it, who else sees it, and how you get it back, corrected or deleted. It is written to be read rather than to be skipped.

What we collect

When you call, email or fill in a form on this site, we take your name, your phone number, your email address and the address where the work is to be done. We also keep notes about the job itself: the number of rooms, the type of floor or mattress, what happened in the case of a leak or a flood, access arrangements, and anything you have asked us to avoid or be careful with.

Where it is relevant to the work, we take photographs. On a carpet that means before and after shots of a stain. On water damage it means the state of the room, the moisture readings and the progress of the drying, because that is the evidence an insurer asks for later. We photograph the work, not your household. If you would rather we did not photograph something, say so and we will not.

Why we collect it

We use your details to quote the job, book it in, get to the right door at the right time, carry out the work, and invoice you for it. We use the job notes so the crew arrives knowing what they are walking into. We use photographs and readings to show what was done, and to support an insurance claim where you have asked us to do that.

The lawful basis is your consent. You give it by contacting us and asking us to quote or carry out work, and you can withdraw it. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you once booked a carpet clean.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside the business, with two exceptions. Card and electronic payments are handled by a payment processor, which receives what it needs to take the payment. We do not store your full card details ourselves. Second, where you ask us to support a claim, we provide your insurer or their adjuster with the documentation for that claim, and nothing beyond it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. If a law or a court order ever required us to disclose something, we would comply with it, and that is the only other circumstance in which your information leaves the business.

How long we keep it

We keep job records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and warranty purposes, and no longer. Quotes that never became jobs are cleared out once it is clear they are not going ahead. Photographs attached to an insurance claim are kept while the claim is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it is reopened.

This website

Our web server keeps ordinary logs: the pages requested, the time, the general location and the browser used. If analytics are running on the site, the same kind of information is collected in aggregate so we can see which pages are useful. We do not use any of it to work out who you are, and we do not combine it with your customer record.

Your rights, and how to use them

Under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, and withdraw your consent to our holding or using it. If you withdraw consent we will stop using your information and delete what we are not legally required to keep, though it does mean we may no longer be able to provide the service.

To do any of that, email info@allcleaner.ca or call 647-697-7435 and say what you want. We will ask a question or two to confirm we are speaking to the right person, then deal with it promptly. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy question, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
