Carpet cleaning in Bolton, Ontario, and the villages of Caledon
Bolton grew up in the Humber River valley, with newer streets climbing the hills on either side. Around it, the Town of Caledon is villages, farms and estate lots. Lake water in town, well water in the villages, and boots that come in off the fields. We clean carpet, rugs and sofas here.

Working here
Lake water in Bolton, well water in the villages
Bolton is on Peel Region's South Peel system, which draws from Lake Ontario. Alton, Palgrave, Caledon East, Caledon Village, Cheltenham and Inglewood are not. They run on Region wells, treated through green sand filters that take out iron and manganese, the minerals that stain sinks and tubs. Farther out, plenty of houses are on private wells with no Region treatment at all. If yours is one, and you see orange or brown marks in the sink, tell us when you book. We test a hidden corner before rinsing a pale carpet, and we want to know what we are looking at.
When the Humber comes up
In March 2019 ice jams on the Humber pushed the river over its banks in Bolton, and homes around King Street East and Humber Lea Road were evacuated overnight. Carpet that has sat in river water is not a cleaning job. The underlay has to come out and the floor has to be dried, and that belongs to our water damage service, not this page. A carpet that only got muddy on the way in and out is a cleaning job, and we can do it.
Field soil on the boots
Outside Bolton, Caledon is farms, horse properties and big rural lots. If anyone in the house rides, works the land or walks the dog across a field, clay and barn dirt come in with them. Clay is the awkward one. Wet, it smears into the fibre. Dry, it breaks up and mostly vacuums out. So leave a muddy track until it has dried hard, break it up with a stiff brush, vacuum it twice, and then let us lift what is left.
A valley town with newer streets on the hills
The old part of Bolton sits low, along the Humber, and the town has spread up both sides of the valley since. The houses near the core are older and may have carpet on the main floor as well as upstairs, or a runner on a narrow staircase that has to be cleaned by hand. On the hills, in the newer subdivisions, the main floor is usually hard flooring and the broadloom starts at the stairs. Both are routine. What changes is how long the stairs take and how close the van can get to the door.
So when you call 647-697-7435, tell us which floors are carpeted, how many stairs there are, and whether the house is in town or out on a lot. The price is set from that and confirmed before work starts.
Salt on the roads, soil from the fields
Winter in Caledon means salt on every road into Bolton, and salt dries into a white crust that comes back if it is only wiped. Our post on salt stains in carpet explains how to hold it off until we get there. If a carpet keeps going grey a few weeks after cleaning, why stains come back is the place to start.
Spring is the muddy season. Snowmelt turns rural lanes and farm yards soft, and what comes in on boots and paws is wet clay rather than salt. Keep a boot tray at the door you actually use, let tracks dry before touching them, and call when the thaw is over rather than halfway through it. A carpet cleaned in the middle of mud season is often dirty again within days.
What we bring, and where else we work
We bring the equipment and the solutions, which are eco-friendly and safe around children and pets once dry, and our cleaners are insured and background-checked. Couches and armchairs are covered on the upholstery cleaning page, rugs on the area rug cleaning page, and the general method on the carpet cleaning page. South of Caledon we also clean in Brampton and Vaughan. If the problem is water rather than dirt, see water damage restoration.

Asked in Bolton
When I searched for carpet cleaning in Bolton I got pages from England. Do you work in Bolton, Ontario?
Yes. We mean Bolton in the Town of Caledon, in Peel Region, on the Humber River. We clean in the old core, the newer subdivisions on the hills, and out into the Caledon villages. Give us the address and we will confirm the job and the price before the day.
Do you come out to Palgrave, Caledon East and Inglewood?
Yes. On a rural property the question is where the van can park, because the hose runs from the van to the room. A long lane, a gravel drive or a soft shoulder is all fine if we know about it in advance. Tell us when you book and we will plan the route.
Can you do a couch and a wool rug on the same visit?
Yes. The couch is cleaned to the code on its label after a test on a hidden spot. The wool rug is checked for loose dye on a corner before any water goes on, and if the colour moves we will not wet clean it on your floor. We tell you that before we start, not after.
